Geo-Hydro greatly values its co-operative education students and interns. Win-win is the best word to describe it. Co-ops and interns bring youth and energy to the company, and Geo-Hydro provides them a real-world work experience. Milt Schreiber, one of the founding principals of Geo-Hydro, was a co-op student at Georgia Tech over 27 years ago. He has this to say about the experience:
"I wouldn't trade it for anything. Alternating work and school quarters was very motivating. I would learn things in the classroom one quarter and go out and apply them at work the next quarter. Nearing the end of a work quarter I was always charged up to go back to school and learn the theory behind things I had seen. Recently I have learned that Georgia Tech is targeting 100 percent participation in co-oping or interning. I couldn't agree more with this position, both from the standpoint of my co-op days and as an employer."
Needless to say Geo-Hydro is a big supporter of co-op and intern programs at Georgia Tech and Southern Polytechnic University, the main sources for talented young engineers in Georgia.
